Yosemite

This was the boys and my mom's first trip to Yosemite, at least that Jackson can remember (he went for the first time officially when he was a few weeks old). They seemed to love it as much as I do. We did some hiking and the boys had their first experience rock climbing. Jackson said, "I love everything about this place". Cohen kept us all on our toes as he explored, always wanting to go to the edge it seemed. We had such a great time and I'm sure will have many more as the boys grow up. I'll post some pictures on my facebook page as well (it's easier to post lots of pics there).

Happy Easter!
What a great time we had in Utah with our family!

Jack had a blast this year decorating Easter eggs and finding his Easter basketCohen had fun too. His favorite part was the uninhibited eating of Easter candy before I caught on that he could open plastic Easter eggs.

Alex and I just returned from a trip to Sayulita, Mexico. And as this seems to be the most burning question people ask, I will answer it now. No, we did not contract swine flu. But we did have an amazing time.
It was awesome, just the two of us. We surfed a ton, explored the surrounding area, and perhaps best of all, slept whenever we wanted to. We returned well rested and happy to be back with our boys.

We left the kids in the very capable hands of Grammy and Ellie, as well as other family. They had the time of their lives and it was fun for them to spend some time with some of our family that we don't see nearly enough.

Hawaii

It's been a while, but life has been full so far this year. I can't believe it's May already! Our year started with a trip to Hawaii with the "Hughes" side of the family! I actually thought that I posted pics of this one. Oops. We had a blast playing on the beach with our family.

Then it was time to celebrate Jackson's fourth birthday superhero style! I can't believe he is 4! Grandma, Ginger, Lexi, and Hanna came to help celebrate!

Halloween at Dillon Beach

We just returned from our annual Nevada Day fiesta at Dillon Beach, California.
We had a soggy, but fun weekend celebrating Halloween by carving pumpkins and trick-or-treating at the local beachside trailer park community. We all had a blast on the one sunny day at the beach and playing in the sand dunes. It was a fun time but we'll be hoping for better weather next year!

Only a week

Wow! It's only been a week and I'm writing again! I'm now another year older, when is it legal to stop counting how old you are? I've been 25 for 8 years now, although I should change the year because I actually really liked my 30th year better. So I guess now I'm 30.

It was a great week, complete with a visit from my mom, a birthday celebration at Apple Hill,
and some time in the mountains with my boys.
I wonder what amazing things are in store for me this year. More fun I'm sure as I watch the boys grow up.

Autumn fun

Jackson is all excited about the Halloween idea. He thinks that he wants to be "spiderman, batman, astronaut, fireman". I think that he might end up with a really fascinating costume.
Cohen is still living in a life unaware of the joys of Halloween costumes, trick-or-treating (although I'm sure there will be some raiding of Jack's treats not only by me but by Co-man too)
